Faith Adiele is an accomplished writer and educator with a diverse background in creative nonfiction and literature. Currently serving as a Writer at Calm since August 2020, Faith also hosts the African Book Club at the Museum of the African Diaspora and teaches at the California College of the Arts. With extensive experience at the Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation, Faith pioneered a Travel Writing Workshop for Writers of Color and contributed to The Rumpus. Previous roles include screenwriter for HBO’s "A World of Calm," faculty at the Esalen Institute, and Distinguished Visiting Writer at Mills College, where Faith focused on innovative nonfiction and mentorship for women of color. An Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh for several years, Faith has also worked as a diversity trainer at VISIONS. Educational qualifications include an MFA and MA in Creative Writing, along with degrees in Southeast Asian Studies and Social Sciences from reputable institutions.
