Danielle Smereczynski

Danielle Smereczynski has a diverse work experience in the field of development and fundraising, primarily in the arts and cultural sector. They are currently serving as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Museum of the American Revolution since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2014 to 2022, where they held various positions including Deputy Director of Development, Individual Giving, and Principal Gifts Officer. They led a team of 15 individuals and managed the museum's fundraising efforts for a historic $525 million campaign. Before joining the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Danielle was the Acting Assistant Chancellor for Development at Rutgers University from 2013 to 2014. They also had significant experience at the Please Touch Museum as a Capital Campaign Manager and Coordinator from 2000 to 2005, and at WHYY as a Development Assistant from 1999 to 2000. Danielle's work experience demonstrates their expertise in philanthropy, major gifts, annual giving, and capital campaign management.
