Simone Richardson has had extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Simone started their career in 2003 as a Finance Manager in the Water Sector Group at the Department of Sustainability and Environment. In 2006, they became a Business Manager at Fisheries Victoria in the Victorian Department of Primary Industries. From 2009 to 2011, Simone worked as a Business Performance Manager in Forests and Parks at the Department of Sustainability and Environment. In 2011, they moved to the Department of Environment and Primary Industries as a Group Business Manager for Land and Fire. Simone then joined Court Services Victoria in 2013, where they held the position of Manager Corporate Services at the Magistrates' Court of Victoria until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Director of Finance and Strategy at the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. Most recently, Simone Richardson has been working as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Museums Victoria since 2019.
Simone Richardson completed their VCE at Warrnambool Secondary College. Simone then pursued a degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Business Law at Deakin University, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. In 1999, Simone enrolled in the Certified Practising Accountant Program at CPA Australia, which they completed in 2001.
