Rebecca Larkin

Rebecca Larkin is a self-employed composer and flutist with a diverse background in music composition and performance. Since January 2011, Rebecca has worked as a freelance composer for concert music and media, while also performing and instructing on the flute, specializing in contemporary solo and chamber works as well as beatbox flute improvisation. In addition to freelance work, Rebecca serves as an online composition mentor for Music-COMP, guiding students in grades 3-12. Academic roles include Graduate Assistant at UC Irvine and a previous position as Graduate Teaching Fellow in Composition at the University of Oregon. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Music from UC Irvine, a Master of Music in Composition from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Ohio Wesleyan University.
