Eddie Chia-Hao Hsu

Curator For Asia And Oceania at MIM, Musical Instrument Museum

Eddie Chia-Hao Hsu is a seasoned ethnomusicologist with extensive experience in academia and curatorial work. Currently serving as the Curator for Asia and Oceania at the Musical Instrument Museum since December 2020, Eddie previously held positions at Temple University as Adjunct Faculty at the Boyer College of Music and Dance and as a Dizi flute instructor for the Chinese Music Ensemble at Swarthmore College. Eddie's background includes a Continuing Fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin and various teaching and research roles at the same institution, contributing to the South Asia Institute and participating in international exchange programs. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master of Music in Ethnomusicology from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Instrument Performance from Tainan National University of the Arts.
