Thomas Nixon, DMA, has extensive experience in the field of music and education. As the CEO and Private Piano Instructor at Nixon Piano Studios since August 2009, Thomas has cultivated a thriving teaching practice. Concurrently, Thomas serves as a substitute piano, celeste, and keyboard musician for The Phoenix Symphony and has been a Guest Services Associate at the Musical Instrument Museum since May 2016. Additional roles include Accompanist, Coach, and Teacher at Glendale Community College since September 2014 and previously as a Teaching Artist for the Education Outreach Program at Arizona Opera Company from January 2015 to May 2016. Thomas also gained valuable experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University from August 2010 to May 2013. Educational credentials include a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano and a Master's in Music Performance from Arizona State University, along with a Bachelor's in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
