Mazen Jichi

Mazen Jichi has a diverse work experience in education and training. Mazen is currently serving as the School Director at the Muslim Association of Canada since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Education Specialist at Supreme for Educational Programming from April 2017 to June 2023. Mazen also served as a Computer Trainer/Vocational Specialist at Lifemark Health Group from May 2021 to July 2022. Moreover, Mazen worked as a Subject Matter Expert/Digital Skills Facilitator at Momentum Calgary from December 2020 to March 2022 and as a Program Coordinator at YMCA Calgary from September 2018 to June 2020. Mazen has also held positions such as ICT Trainer and Workshop Facilitator at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society from January 2015 to January 2018, University Advisor and External Exams Coordinator, Computing Academy Manager and Trainer, and Department Coordinator & Teacher at SABIS™ Educational Services from August 2009 to August 2014, and Head of Department, Teacher, and Moodle Coordinator at Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) from August 2007 to August 2009. Additionally, Mazen served as the Legal Main Contact (LMC)- Cisco Academy at Cisco from August 2008 to July 2009 and as a Teacher of Mathematics & Computing at The International School of Choueifat from October 2004 to August 2007.

Mazen Jichi's education history starts with obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut from 2000 to 2004. After that, they pursued further education at the University of Calgary, where they earned a Master of Education degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from 2017 to 2020.

During their time at the University of Calgary, Mazen also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Foundations of School Psychology and Counselling from 2018 to 2019. Furthermore, they completed a Graduate Certificate in Leading and Learning in a Digital Age from 2017 to 2018.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Mazen Jichi has obtained several certifications. Mazen is a Google Certified Educator Level 1, having completed the program at the Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in April 2022. Mazen is also a Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert (Office 365 and Office 2019), certified by Microsoft in February 2021.

Before their higher education and certifications, Mazen gained IT-related knowledge and skills. Mazen obtained the CCNA: Network Fundamentals/ Routing Protocols and Concepts certification from Cisco in February 2009. In August 2008, they completed the IT Fundamentals: PC Hardware and Software certification, also from Cisco. Additionally, they hold a Certified Trainer Professional certification from ECDL/ ICDL Certification since March 2011.

Lastly, in June 2014, Mazen Jichi earned the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) from Cambridge International Examinations. And more recently, in November 2020, they completed the Teaching Online in Higher Education certification from Andrews University.
