Herman Chan, CPA, CA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Herman started their career at KPMG LLP as a Senior Accountant, where they provided assurance services for both public and private financial institutions. Herman then moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate in the Financial Risk Management department, specializing in derivatives and hedge accounting.
After their time at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Herman joined UBS and held the role of Associate Director in the Finance COO Team and Group Government Affairs. Herman was involved in financial analysis, performance evaluation, and the production of management information reports for decision-making.
Herman then worked at HSBC as a Manager in the HTS Planning department, providing analysis, planning, reporting, and governance for technology and operations support across Asia Pacific.
Following HSBC, they joined PineBridge Investments as a Vice President, first in Institutional Sales for Greater China and then in Strategy and Business Development for the Asia Pacific region. In this role, they provided analysis and support for strategic decision-making and coordinated business plans and financial analysis.
Their most recent roles include positions at Natixis Investment Managers, where they served as the Head of Institutional Sales for Hong Kong and Macau, and Director of Institutional Sales for Greater China. Herman was responsible for driving growth in assets under management, overseeing regulatory compliance, and joining the Board of Directors.
Currently, Herman is working at Muzinich & Co as the Director of Institutional Business Development for Asia.
