Alex Bilbie

Alex Bilbie has a long and varied work experience. In 2009, they were a Software Developer at the University of Lincoln, where they developed a single sign-on environment using OAuth 2.0. In 2013, they were a Senior Developer at Pro-G Media, where they lead the development of a next generation content management platform. In 2014, they were a Senior Platform Engineer at YUZA, where they built and managed an API platform and built numerous backend CRM/CMS/dashboard systems. In 2016, they were a Cloud Architecture Consultant at Glynde Labs, where they advised startups and SMEs on AWS cloud management. In 2017, they became Head Of Engineering at Popsa, where they designed and lead the development of a highly cost effective and scalable microservices architecture. In 2020, they were Entrepreneur In Residence at Antler and CTO and Co-founder at Mesg.ai. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Freeman and Journeyman at the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and a Member at The Guild of Young Freemen, and is currently Head of Engineering at Muzz (formerly muzmatch).

Alex Bilbie obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Lincoln in 2012. In 2016, they were awarded an AWS Certified Developer - Associate Level certification from Amazon Web Services. In 2017, they were awarded an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level certification from Amazon Web Services.
