Mareliza Kirschbaum

Mareliza Kirschbaum is an experienced illustrator with a strong background in children's book and botanical illustrations. Since July 2017, Mareliza has been working as an illustrator at Mwabu, following a freelance illustration career from June 2014 to July 2017. Mareliza's diverse professional experience includes roles as an office administrator at Unboxed from June 2014 to April 2017, an illustrator at Am I Collective from April 2013 to June 2014, and earlier positions as a framing consultant at Framed Master Gilders and Framers, a part-time gallery assistant at Salon91, and a gallery assistant and admin clerk at Lindy van Niekerk Art Gallery. Educationally, Mareliza holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Stellenbosch University, completed in 2008, followed by an Honours degree in Illustration from the same institution between 2012 and 2013.
