Robert Dunn

Robert Dunn has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years in the IT industry. Robert currently works at MWI Animal Health as the Head of Software Engineering. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Engineer Manager at the same company.

In their previous positions, Robert worked at IG as a Senior Technical Manager, leading a newly formed Engineering Community of Practice and managing engineering teams in London and Krakow. Robert also held the role of Technical Manager in IG's client on-boarding technical department, overseeing critical projects and ensuring timely delivery to the business.

Before joining IG, Robert worked at Close Brothers Asset Management as a Development Manager. Robert provided technical guidance to a team of developers and performed delivery and release management duties for a Securitisation project.

Robert also worked as a Development Team Lead at Trafigura, leading a team of developers in server development using Java and Scala technologies. At Lloyds Banking Group, they served as a Senior Java Developer, contributing to the development of a back office administration application.

In their early career, Robert held positions at DeltaRail as a Java Development Team Lead, where they developed a highly reliable system for Network Rail, and at Insfin Pty. Ltd. as a Senior Developer/Team Lead, where they developed online insurance and finance applications.

Their first job was at Macpro Software Ltd. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed estate agent software using Borland Delphi 5 and Interbase technologies.

Overall, Robert Dunn has demonstrated expertise in software engineering, technical management, and team leadership throughout their career.

Robert Dunn attended Curtin University from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Science degree with a focus on Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications. In January 2001, they received the certification for Windows 2000 Professional: Installing, Configuring, and Administration from Microsoft. In February 2001, they obtained the certification for Windows 2000 Server: Installing, Configuring, and Administrating, also from Microsoft. In March 2001, they became certified in Delphi 5 from Borland Software. In January 2002, they obtained the Delphi 6 Certification, again from Borland Software. Robert further enhanced their qualifications by becoming an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer in November 2010, certified by Oracle. Their most recent certification was as a Certified ScrumMaster, obtained from the Scrum Alliance in March 2014.
