William Terrill has over 27 years of professional experience in the engineering and technology industry. William began their career in 1993 as an Enlisted Machinist Mate in the US Navy. During this time, they attended Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida, and was selected as Staff Pick-Up from 300 students at Nuclear Prototype in Saratoga Springs, New York. William was then selected for the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program to become a US Navy Officer. In 1999, they became the Damage Control Officer of the USS Jefferson City Fast Attack in San Diego, California and was recognized as the only junior officer on board who was allowed to stand Officer of the Deck for missions in shallow water during high contact density. William was also ranked number 1 of 8 junior officers at yearly evaluations after an excellent performance during the Operational Reactor Safeguard Examination (ORSE). In 2002, they became the Assistant Engineer of the submarine and was rated number 1 of 3 engineers who operated the submarine’s nuclear reactor in abnormal configurations during the ORSE. William also developed a training plan and walkthrough as Chemical and Radiological Officer for a complex and infrequent radioactive sample that resulted in a flawless actual performance. From 2004 to 2006, William volunteered at the Shedd Aquarium. In 2006, they began working as a Computer Consultant/Project Manager at TelePro, Inc. During this time, they worked with clients to gather needs and coordinate efforts to commission new systems for use in aluminum smelting factories and rolling mills. William managed a team of programmers to develop functional specifications, create deliverables and complete end-installation on-site. From 2008 to 2019, they worked at the Farnsworth Group, Inc. as the General Manager of the Chicago Office. During this time, they opened the office, built, directed, and developed an engineering consulting team to perform multiple energy-saving-based projects with Chicago Public Schools, University of Chicago, and several buildings in downtown Chicago. William also performed commissioning activities on five new construction Chicago Public Schools to provide and document energy saving provided to the client. In 2019, they began working at Falabella Retail as a Product Owner. During this time, they oversaw the acquisition and technological integration of a Colombian Logistics Company to use in operations for Tottus in Chile and Peru. William also created requirements, oversaw teams, and coded a picking application and client-facing application for rapid delivery of products for Tottus in Chile and Peru. In 2020, they began working at MXOtech, Inc. as a Senior Mobile App Programmer. During this time, they created and designed mobile applications for iOS, android, web, and OSX for larger corporations. William also completed full stack development with client database integration and was involved in direct sales, ensuring that the business grows.
William Terrill obtained a Master's of Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Prior to that, they earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1995 and 1998.
