Michael Craft has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Michael currently works as a Principal Investigator I at MxV Rail since September 2021. Before that, they were a Program Manager at Paragon Robotics from August 2020 to September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Amtrak from March 2014 to July 2020, initially as a Project Engineer for Automated Track Inspection Systems and later as a Principal Engineer. Michael applied advanced technologies to improve track inspection practices and worked on modeling and testing track systems. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Virginia Tech as a Sr Research Scientist from June 2012 to December 2013 and as a Sr Research Associate from June 2008 to June 2012. During their time at Virginia Tech, they focused on vehicle dynamics testing and modeling, damper design, and research. Michael began their career as a Mechatronics Engineer at Magneshocks - Carrera Shocks from May 2003 to May 2008.
Michael Craft obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2003.
