Pyae Phyo Aung has a diverse work experience across various companies and industries. Pyae Phyo started their career in 2001 as a Programmer/ Course Manager at Myanmar Computer Company Limited. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as an Administrative & Human Resources Assistant at UNHCR. Pyae Phyo then joined United Nations OCHA in 2008 and held positions as Administrative & Human Resources Assistant, Administrative & Human Resources Associate, and National Administrative Officer until 2014.
In 2014, Pyae Phyo Aung transitioned to Unilever as an HR Services Manager, where they provided recruitment support for all functions and ensured the onboarding process for external candidates. After working at Unilever for a year, they joined PwC Myanmar as a Human Resources Manager. In this role, they handled various HR functions including recruitment, payroll, compensation and benefits, performance management, and training.
In 2016, Pyae Phyo Aung joined International Beverages Trading Co., Ltd as an HR Manager / HR Business Partner Manager. Here, they delivered HR services in recruitment, employee relations, operations, and data administration. Pyae Phyo also worked closely with the Chief People Officer to implement strategic HR plans. Currently, they are the Head of Human Resources at Myanmar Jardine Schindler, where they oversee HR operations and strategies.
Pyae Phyo Aung has a diverse education history with a focus on business administration, human resources management, and leadership. Pyae Phyo obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Heriot-Watt University from 2016 to 2021. In 2017, they also completed a Diploma in Leadership from Global Gateway University (USA) with a specialization in Organizational Leadership.
Further expanding their knowledge in business law, Pyae Phyo Aung received a Diploma in Business Law from the University of Yangon from 2016 to 2017. Pyae Phyo also pursued a Level-6 Diploma in Business Administration from the Association of Business Executive (ABE, UK) in 2014.
Pyae Phyo Aung focused on human resources development and management, attaining a Diploma in Human Resources Development from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM, UK) in 2014 and a Level-6 Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Association of Business Executives (ABE, UK) from 2012 to 2013.
To complement their business administration background, Pyae Phyo Aung completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the Yangon Institute of Economics (Y.I.E) from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, they hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Yangon, which they earned from 2007 to 2010. Pyae Phyo'seducational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Distance Education, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004.
In addition to their formal education, Pyae Phyo Aung has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. These include certificates in Resilient HR, Hybrid Working, The HR Consultant: A Masterclass with Bill Pelte, Coaching at Scale, and Performance Management Reimagined from the Josh Bersin Academy. Pyae Phyo obtained these certifications in 2021, with the respective months being July, July, August, September, and October.
