Carla Abarca

Carla Abarca is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in business development within the mining, exploration, and materials science sectors. Currently serving as a Business Development Manager at Myant since November 2024, Carla focuses on driving innovation and forging strategic partnerships. Prior to this role, Carla was a Business Development Associate at Actlabs, where expertise in analytical services for the mining industry was applied from January 2020 to November 2024. Additionally, Carla has a strong academic background, having completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at McMaster University, where significant contributions were made as a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Researcher. Earlier experiences include teaching assistant roles at McMaster University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, along with technical sales experience at BASF. Carla holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry, a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, and has pursued further English language training.
