Wangaruro MBIRA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2002, they worked as a Contractor at Safaricom PLC. In 2003, they served as a Sales Executive at Standard Chartered Bank, and later that year, they joined Equity Bank Limited as part of the Risk and Compliance team. From 2006 to 2008, they held the position of Head of Risk and Compliance at ABC Bank Group. Wangaruro then moved to Chase Bank Kenya, where they worked as Head of Risk from 2008 to 2011. In 2010, Wangaruro co-founded Rafiki Microfinance Bank and served as its General Manager until 2017. In 2017, they founded MyCredit Limited and took on the role of Founder and Managing Director.
