Kuan Teo has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Kuan started their career as a Senior Financial Analyst at Hewlett-Packard in 1997 and later became a Partner in Sales and Marketing at CDT-trade in 2001. In 2003, they transitioned to become the Director of Accounts at Mofo Co; Ltd. Following that, Kuan served as the Editor-in-Chief at Fierce Publishing from 2005 to 2011, where they successfully managed the publishing operation and achieved significant revenue.
In 2011, Kuan joined JOHN HARDY as the Vice President of Marketing and was responsible for elevating the brand's presence and identity across different markets. Kuan centralized all marketing materials to be produced in-house, managing a team of 15 people.
In 2015, Kuan founded MYKU, a startup watch company specializing in unique timepieces. Kuan conceived the idea based on market research and aimed to create affordable Swiss-made timepieces with precious stones as the face of the dial.
Currently, Kuan is the Managing Director APAC at MYKITA, where they oversee the company's growth strategy, operations, and overall performance in the Asia-Pacific region. Kuan manages a regional team focused on sales, operations, marketing, and finance.
Kuan Teo completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Deakin University. Kuan attended Deakin University from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they studied at Victoria Junior College from 1990 to 1992, where they also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree, specializing in Accounting and Business/Management.
