Sam Flores

Sam Flores has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sam is currently working as a Software Engineer at Mylo, a Lockton Company since January 2023. Prior to this, Sam worked as a Fullstack Engineer at Generation Esports from May 2021 to December 2022, where they were also the Scrum Master for three teams. In this role, they were responsible for building and maintaining an Angular front-end and a NestJS microservice back-end. Before that, Sam worked as a Technician at Theatre Equipment Construction & Service from January 2019 to July 2020, where they excelled in troubleshooting and on-site work related to projectors and servers. Sam also served as the Projection Booth & Floor Manager at Alameda Theatre And Cineplex from September 2009 to March 2020, overseeing projection, maintenance, and overall presentation quality. Sam also had a brief role as an Interim General Manager at Contra Costa Stadium Cinemas in 2019, where they helped with the transition between two general managers and optimized staff scheduling. In 2018, Sam worked as a Software Engineering Manager for a senior project at GatorSwap, leading a team to create a classifieds website. Sam also has experience as an Assistant Editor at Hotwire 3D from 2004 to 2011. Overall, Sam has a strong background in software engineering, technical troubleshooting, and team management.

Sam Flores completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at San Francisco State University from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended College of Alameda from 2011 to 2014, where they studied Computer Information Systems. In the same year, 2011, they also briefly attended Laney College and pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems.
