Matthew Baca has a varied work experience. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a PhD Student Researcher at CERN, where they manned the trigger desk in the ATLAS Control Room and conducted research into the production of Dark Matter. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Trainee Patent Attorney at Keltie LLP, where they drafted patents, responded to office actions from the European Patent Office and the UK Intellectual Property Office, and met with clients to discuss their inventions and applications. In 2020, they continued their role as a Trainee Patent Attorney at Carpmaels & Ransford. Finally, in 2021, they became the Head of Manufacturing at 3DC, and in 2022 they took on the same role at MyMiniFactory.
Matthew Baca completed their A Levels at Thomas Deacon Academy in 2009, studying Physics, Maths and Chemistry. Matthew then went on to study an MSci in Physics at the University of Birmingham from 2009 to 2013. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Elementary Particle Physics at the University of Birmingham from 2013 to 2018.
