Gottfried Lechner

Gottfried Lechner has had a long and varied career in the telecommunications field. Gottfried is currently employed as a Principal Communications Engineer at Myriota, a role they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Program Leader: Advanced Communications at SmartSat CRC from 2019. From 2008 to 2019, they were a Professor, Associate Professor, Director: Institute for Telecommunications Research, Senior Research Fellow, and Research Fellow at the University of South Australia. From 2002 to 2008, they were a Senior Researcher at the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna (ftw.). From 1999 to 2002, they were a self-employed Software Developer.

Gottfried Lechner received their Dr. techn. (Dr.Sc) in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien in 2007. Gottfried received their Dipl.-Ing. (MSc) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution in 2003.
