Ilias Schulz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ilias worked at MyVest from 2018, starting as a Software Engineer I and progressing to a Senior Software Engineer. In these roles, they led projects for new features and component conversions, supported offshore teams, and researched new technologies.
In 2018, Ilias also worked on a Team Project where they had two roles. As a member of the WeGot team, they load tested the system, cached query responses, and stress-tested the deployed system. On the AirEnE team, they deployed Node.js and Express Proxy Server to AWS EC2, created data persistence with MongoDB, automated testing with CircleCI, and developed a React.js component.
Additionally, Ilias worked on a solo project in 2018, creating a full-stack application called DieBier. Ilias implemented the frontend using React and allowed users to search for beers and breweries, rate beers, and store personal information.
Before joining the software field, Ilias worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Scansite3D from 2015 to 2018. Ilias also completed an internship at Rolls-Royce from 2011 to 2013 and another internship at AMMT GmbH from 2006 to 2011, where they assisted in installation and approval runs of etching systems, tested and evaluated samples, and contributed to the design of smaller parts using SolidWorks.
Ilias Schulz completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin from 2009 to 2014. During their studies, they also participated in an exchange program at the University of California, Santa Barbara from 2010 to 2011, focusing on Mechanical Engineering.
In addition to their formal education, Ilias obtained various certifications to supplement their knowledge and skills. Ilias obtained the certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University in May 2017. In April 2017, they completed the course "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice" offered by DTU - Technical University of Denmark on Coursera. Ilias also earned a certification in Introduction to Programming with MATLAB from Vanderbilt University in March 2017.
Furthermore, Ilias has achieved the Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) certification and the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) certification from Dassault Systèmes in May 2015 and April 2015, respectively.
Lastly, Ilias attended Hack Reactor to pursue an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive program. However, the start and end years for this program are not specified.
