Kevin Barnes

Kevin Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kevin started their career as a Staff Software Engineer at MyVest in 2019, where they worked as a full stack engineer on the Advisor team, utilizing skills in Angular, AngularJS, Typescript, and Material Design.

Prior to that, Kevin worked at PGC in 2018 as a Backend Engineer and Server Architect, contracted to Mutual Mobile. There, they designed and implemented features for Dribe's car subscription application, using skills in NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

In 2017, Kevin joined Maidbot as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they managed the web services team and set up AWS environments.

Before that, they worked at Q2ebanking as a Senior Software Engineer, developing custom online banking solutions using Python, Microsoft SQL Server, and various web technologies.

In 2015, Kevin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Caringo, Inc., specializing in cloud storage engineering using Python and Flask.

Kevin also had a contract role at Apple in 2014, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, utilizing skills in Angular JS, Python, MySQL, Teradata, and Redis, developing an internal web application.

Prior to that, Kevin worked at CA Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer, taking on responsibilities such as leading a team for a Capacity Monitor application and contributing to a SaaS enablement initiative.

During a career break in 2013, Kevin engaged in researching activities.

In 2011, they joined PayPal as an MTS 1, User PD, where they worked with cross-cultural teams to deliver a Mobile Payment Library within a time-constrained project.

Lastly, Kevin worked at PayPal as a Staff Software Engineer from 2008 to 2011, where they refined an existing web application and isolated Risk pages from other domains' codes and processes.

Kevin Barnes attended Case Western Reserve University from 1976 to 1980 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
