Sergey Smolsky has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sergey is currently the Vice President of Engineering at N-able since January 2024. Before that, they held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at N-able from August 2021 to January 2024. Prior to joining N-able, Sergey worked at SolarWinds MSP as a Senior Director of Engineering from April 2020 to August 2021, and as a Director of Engineering from November 2018 to April 2020. At SolarWinds MSP, they were responsible for managing engineering teams, overseeing hiring and talent development programs, and coordinating the development of key performance goals. Sergey also has experience as a Co-Founder at MyBook Heroes from June 2017 to March 2019, and as the CEO/Crisis Manager at Screenlife from May 2018 to November 2018. Sergey held various leadership roles at Wargaming from 2009 to 2017, including Head of Global Online Presence, Head of Web Development, Development Director of Web services, and Project Manager/Product Manager for World of Tanks. Sergey also has experience at BlueLithium/Yahoo as a QA Team Lead, and at Intetics and Activeunit as a Project Manager and Lead Quality Control Engineer, respectively.

Sergey Smolsky obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the CIIM - Cyprus International Institute of Management in the years 2017-2019. In 2016, they attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business to study Leading Change and Organizational Renewal. Sergey also attended INSEAD in 2013, where they studied Building Sustainable Global Business: Leadership and Collaboration. Sergey Smolsky's undergraduate education was at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics from 1998 to 2003. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification in May 2020 from Scaled Agile, Inc. Sergey also holds certifications as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance (obtained in 2012) and A Business Analysis Approach to Lean Strategy Execution from IRM UK (obtained in 2016).
