Ignacio Badiola

Ignacio Badiola has over a decade of professional experience in software engineering. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Java Developer at Xionna. In 2010, they joined SisInfo as a Genexus Developer, where they designed and built inventory and accounts ERP modules for financial projects. In 2012, they joined IBM as a Business Process Management Specialist, where they led a group of BPM developers dedicated to providing ongoing technical support to BBVA Bank processes. In 2017, they joined Oktana Corporation as a Backend Software Engineer for WW (formerly WeightWatchers) and a Javascript Engineer for WW (formerly WeightWatchers). Ignacio was responsible for coaching, onboarding, and mentoring new engineers into the project, and created RESTful API on top of Algolia (SaaS) services and SQS queues from AWS. Ignacio also created and maintained customer projects using AngularJS, MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js, and mochajs. In 2021, they joined Nacelle as a Senior Software Engineer and a Software Engineer.

Ignacio Badiola has a B.S. in Software Engineering from Universidad de la República, which they obtained in 2016. Ignacio also has a Salesforce Javascript Developer I certification from Trailhead by Salesforce, which they obtained in 2020. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Udemy, CertiProf, LinkedIn, and Lynda.com, including Apache Kafka Series - Confluent Schema Registry & REST Proxy, Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate (SFPC), Apache Kafka Series - Learn Apache Kafka for Beginners v2, NodeJS - The Complete Guide (incl. MVC, REST APIs, GraphQL), Learning React.js (2018), Learning Ionic, and Angular 2 Testing and Debugging.
