Katy Palermo

Katy Palermo has extensive experience in nursing and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Substitute Nurse at Lamar Consolidated Independent School District since September 2017 and as a Graduate Nursing Student at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston since August 2016, Katy is pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner Certification with an expected graduation in December 2018. Additionally, Katy has been a Registered Nurse at Nacogdoches Memorial Health since January 2014, specializing in the Nursery/Level III NICU, and previously held the position of President of the Catholic Student Organization at St. Mary's from 2011 to 2012. Katy also gained leadership experience as the Summer Camp Site Director at T.W. Davis YMCA of Greater Houston in 2011. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch (2016-2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University (2011-2013).
