Jason Southard

Jason Southard is an experienced media relations and statistics professional with a diverse background in sports and communications. Currently working as a Freelance Production Assistant at Linacre Media since September 2022, Jason has also held long-standing roles with organizations such as the Connecticut Sun as a Game Day Media Relations Assistant and Statistician since May 2004, and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a Statistician since November 2014. In addition, Jason serves as a statistician for the Cancun Challenge with Triple Crown Sports and assists with the NABC Convention each year. Recent experience includes a role as a Residential Recovery Specialist at Sound Community Services, Inc. and as Interim Sports Information Director at the University of the Virgin Islands from October 2022 to October 2023. Jason's career in media relations began in 1995 when serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations at the US Coast Guard Academy, and Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Southern Connecticut State University.
