Peter McPherson

Peter McPherson, Ph.D., serves as the Chief Operations Officer for the City of Nampa, Idaho, since 2023, directly collaborating with the Mayor. Concurrently, Peter holds positions as a Senior Executive Consultant at GLG and Dialectica, offering expertise in senior leadership and C-Suite responsibilities, including strategic planning and operational management. Previously, Peter was the Chief Deputy (COO) and Chief of Staff at the Idaho State Department of Education, overseeing a large team and focusing on strategic vision and employee development. Earlier, Peter served as Superintendent and Director of Federal Programs for Challis Joint School District #181. Peter's educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Leadership and Administration and an Education Specialist degree, both from Northwest Nazarene University, along with master's and bachelor's degrees from Walla Walla University.
