Ray Diaz has a diverse work experience spanning more than 25 years. Ray currently holds the position of Deputy CIO at Nan McKay and Associates (NMA) since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Architect at Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, where they led the digital transformation and modernization of the third-largest park system in the United States. During their time there, they successfully launched the department's largest modernization effort amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces, Ray served as the Systems Support Manager at Miami-Dade County IT from February 2017 to May 2019. Ray also worked as the Technical Services Manager at Miami-Dade County from January 2014 to February 2017, where they had direct responsibility and leadership of all IT operations for Miami-Dade Public Housing & Community Development.
Prior to their roles in the public sector, Ray gained experience in the private sector as the Director of IT at MAC COMPUTER CONSULTING, INC from February 2009 to December 2014. Ray also served as the President of Digital Solutions, Inc. from September 2001 to December 2009, leading IT operations for various clients in a CIO and Senior Management capacity.
Ray began their career as a Systems Analyst/Programmer 2 at Miami-Dade County in 1994 and later worked as a Systems Engineer II at Precision Response Corporation (USA Networks) from April 1999 to August 2001.
From 1994 to 1998, Ray Diaz attended Broward College, where they pursued studies in Business Administration and Management, General. It is unclear whether they obtained a degree during this time. In January 2022, Ray Diaz acquired a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Florida Benchmarking Consortium.
