Aaron Lin, PhD

Aaron Lin, PhD has had a successful career in the field of biomedical sciences and technology. Aaron began their career in 2007 as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). During this time, they contributed to the research and development of biomedical microdevices, and authored/co-authored eight papers published by refereed journals and conference proceedings. In 2011, they joined ASM Pacific Technology as a Product Development Engineer, where they conducted Design of Experiments (DoE) to product development practice, performed comparative market analysis, analyzed data to improve throughput yield and product quality, and liaised with the manufacture team for the process optimization.

In 2012, they joined Bio-Rad Laboratories as a Senior Field Application Specialist, where they were the sole specialist to take charge of technical sales, application support and local marketing for the entire Life Science division (incl. genomics, protein, and cell biology) covering the whole of Hong Kong/Macao territories. Aaron successfully achieved a compound annual growth of over 20% at Hong Kong and a 10-fold total business growth at Macao.

In 2015, they joined Illumina as a Team Leader, Applied & Basic Research Market Segments, where they led a team to manage the Greater China market segments including Precision Health, Cell & Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Agriculture. Aaron also managed the Precision Health market segment in person and contributed to Pan-APAC programs focusing on Spatial Multiomics.

In 2020, they joined 10x Genomics as a Senior Science & Technology Advisor, China & India, where they were responsible for pre-sales customer events and campaigns for all of China and India territories. Aaron also contributed to Pan-APAC programs focusing on Spatial Multiomics and won the 'APAC Stars Program Award'.

Currently, Aaron is employed at NanoCellect Biomedical, Inc. as the Asia Pacific Channel Manager. Aaron is committed to empowering every scientist to make discoveries one cell at a time, with modern and simple technologies to advance cell-based assays that are affordable, compact, and easy-to-use.

Aaron Lin, PhD has an extensive education history. Aaron attended Fuzhou No.1 Middle School from 1997 to 2003, where they completed their high school education. Aaron then went on to Zhejiang University, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from 2003 to 2007. In 2005, they were an exchange student at Lund University. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology between 2007 and 2011.
