Conn Mallett has a diverse work experience in the fields of research, sales, and academia. Currently, Mallett is working as an Assistant Research Professor at City of Hope since March 2022. Prior to this, Mallett was employed as an Account Executive at Nanome Inc. starting in August 2021.

Mallett also gained international research experience as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Osaka University Protein Research Center from September 1999 to September 2001. During this time, they conducted protein crystallization and X-ray diffraction studies, focusing on enzymatic mechanisms and structure refinement.

Conn Mallett received their High School Diploma from Williamstown High in Williamstown, WV in 1989. Conn then attended Virginia Tech from 1989 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry. Following that, they attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 1993 to 1999 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry.
