Jacob Kukovica

Jacob Kukovica has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. In 2016, they worked as a Competitive Swim Coach for the London Aquatic Club, instructing swimmers to help them achieve their personal swimming goals. From 2014 to 2018, they held various roles at Western University, including Teaching Assistant for the Earth Sciences department, Facility Equipment Manager, and Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. In these positions, they provided instruction, grading, and first response training to ensure a safe environment for students and patrons. In 2019, they worked as a Scientific Data Specialist at Ocean Networks Canada and as a Post-Graduate Researcher at Western University. Jacob also briefly worked as a Geophysical Operator at Quantec Geoscience Ltd. In 2021, Jacob joined Natural Resources Canada as a Physical Scientist, and in 2023, they became an Engineering Seismologist at Nanometrics Inc.

Jacob Kukovica began their education at St. John's Kilmarnock School, although the specific dates are unknown. Jacob then attended Western University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Honors Specialization Geophysics and Major Geology from 2011 to 2016. Jacob further pursued their education at Western University by obtaining a Master's Degree in Geophysics from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Jacob also obtained several certifications, including Fundamentals Coach - Swimming Canada from the Coaching Association of Canada in June 2018, as well as certifications in National Lifeguarding Society (NLS) and Standard First Aid with CPR-C from the Lifesaving Society.
