Marissa Tranquilli

Marissa Tranquilli has work experience as a Senior Scientist at NanoPattern Technologies, Inc. starting from July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Lector for Academic and Professional Writing at the University of Chicago from January 2018 to December 2020. In this role, they supported senior lecturers in teaching undergraduate and graduate students editing techniques for academic and professional writing. Their responsibilities included providing weekly feedback, clarifying concepts, and facilitating workshop discussions in the seminar section.

Marissa Tranquilli's education history begins in 2007 when they obtained their High School Diploma from Amherst Central High School. Marissa then went on to attend Cornell University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and English. Following their undergraduate studies, Marissa enrolled at the University of Chicago in 2016, where they pursued a Master's degree in Chemistry until 2017. Marissa continued their education at the University of Chicago, completing their academic journey in 2022 by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry.
