Colt Murray is a service engineer at Nanoscience Instruments. Colt has also worked as a graduate research assistant at Arizona State University and an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Florida.
Murray earned their PhD in physics from Arizona State University in 2020. Colt's research focused on atomic-resolution transmission electron microscopy of nanostructured catalytic materials with a focus on the use of spatially-resolved spectroscopic techniques. Colt has approximately 30 hours of independent operation experience with a JEOL ARM200F and approximately 80 hours with a NION UltraSTEM100.
Before their time at Arizona State University, Murray worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Florida in the summer of 2017. There, they used COMSOL Multiphysics finite element analysis software and MATLAB to calculate acoustic wave dispersion in microresonators (MEMS) in order to optimize resonator efficiency and frequency stability.
Colt Murray completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics at the University of Florida.
