Parts Inspector

Job description

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Distribute incoming packages throughout the office.
  • Document incoming parts into database.
  • Measure and Test Incoming Parts for Functionality and/or Accuracy.
  • Verify Parts Received Match the Parts and QTY’s Ordered.
  • Label and place inventory items into stock.
  • Manually measure and check the accuracy of machined parts.
  • Coordinate with vendor when necessary for RMA returns.
  • Maintain stockroom organization.
  • Complete necessary documents for initial part inspection.
  • Maintain Traceability and Active Certification over Measurement and Calibration Tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Keen attention to detail and organization.
  • Excels in critical thinking, dexterity, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, multi-tasking and patience.
  • Knowledge in the use of measurement tools (scales, calipers, gauge pins, thread checkers, etc).
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD Models and Prints.
  • Succeeds in self-management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred take have taken courses such as Digital Electronics, AC Theory, Micro Controllers, etc.
  • Preferred 1– 3 years in related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of metrology instruments and their use in Materials Testing is a plus.
