Aurelie Barthere started their career as a Management Control Intern at the French Ministry for Culture and Communication in 2008. Aurelie later joined KPMG Audit as a Financial Services Intern from September 2009 to February 2010. In 2010, Aurelie worked as a Strategy & Planning Intern at HSBC.
From 2011 to 2011, they were an Intern - Business analyst in the Energy Business Unit at Arthur D. Little, where they assisted in writing the five-year business plan of a North African refinery and built macroeconomic models for litigation cases between natural gas retailers and their suppliers.
In 2012, Aurelie joined Credit Suisse as a Group Strategy Associate AVP and worked there until 2016. In this role, they gained experience in group strategy. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd as a Macroeconomic and Market Investment Analyst for ASEAN and Australia. During this time, they were responsible for tactical asset allocation of ASEAN and Australian equity indices and supported portfolio management for one of Zurich’s corporate pension funds.
In 2019, Aurelie returned to Credit Suisse as a Multi Asset Investment VP, where they performed macroeconomic and quantitative analysis for a USD 1bn UCITs hedge fund. Aurelie'sresponsibilities included identifying trade ideas, building Python-based macroeconomic and quantitative signals, and supporting portfolio management and construction. Aurelie worked in this role until December 2021.
Currently, Aurelie Barthere is working as a Principal Research Analyst at Nansen since February 2022.
Aurelie Barthere has a diverse education history. Aurelie attended Lycée Pierre de Fermat from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained their Baccalaureat degree, majoring in Maths. Later, Aurelie pursued their higher education at ESSEC Business School from 2007 to 2011, earning a Masters degree in Business/Managerial Economics. In 2010, they attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) for a Summer School program, although the field of study is unspecified. Additionally, in 2011, Aurelie was an MBA exchange student at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they focused on Business and Economics in China. Notably, Aurelie has also passed all three levels of the CFA examination offered by the CFA Institute.
