William Schmidt has worked in a variety of roles since 1996. William began their career as a Senior Research Associate at Laguna Research Associates in 1996. In 1997, they became a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche. In 2001, they worked as a Research Analyst at the Milken Institute, where they served on the Los Angeles Economic Impact Task Force to form an economic recovery plan after September 11th, and authored and published a report on financial innovations to increase access to capital for low-income communities for the Ford Foundation. In 2002, they became a Consultant and Senior Consultant at ERS Group. In 2009, they became a Senior Managing Consultant at Competition Economics, LLC. In 2017, they became a Senior Managing Consultant at LitiNomics. In 2018, they became the Director of Finance at NantWorks, where they lead FP&A and operational oversight for several portfolio companies in healthcare, biotechnology, semiconductor, biodegradable consumer products, and battery industries, and provides M&A support for investment and divestiture activities including valuation, due diligence, and portfolio analysis, as well as heading financial analysis and valuation for monetization of intellectual property portfolio.
William Schmidt received their B.A. in Economics from Pomona College and their MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
