Jürg Oggenfuss

Jürg Oggenfuss has worked in the wine industry since 1968, starting as an Assistant Manager at a family-owned fine food and wine store. Jürg then worked as a Manager at a Wine Merchant from 1992-2007. From 2007-2009 they were a Wine Educator, WSET cert., Wine Education Coordinator, and CSW at Joseph Phelps Vineyards. In 2009, they became a contributing writer for Vintuba LLC, and in 2013 they became the Chief Financial Officer and Partner at Napa Valley Wine Academy.

Jürg Oggenfuss obtained their Wine Location Specialist, WLS certification from http://www.champagne.us/ and http://www.ivp.pt/index.asp. Jürg also earned their Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) from the Society of Wine Educators in 2012. In 2012, they completed their WLS Wine Location Specialist from the CIVC and IVDP accredited Center for Wine Origins. From 2009 to 2012, they earned an Advanced Degree in Wines & Spirits from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Jürg also attended the University of South Florida from 1982 to 1984 for Graduate Studies in Philosophy. From 1980 to 1982, they obtained their BA ADP from Norwich University in English & Psychology. Finally, in 1972 to 1973, they earned their Eidg. Weinhandelsdiplom from Höhere Fachschule Wädenswil in Wine.
