Goutam Chattopadhyay

Goutam Chattopadhyay is a Senior Research Scientist and Principal Engineer/Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where development of Terahertz Technologies has been a primary focus since October 1999. Additionally, Goutam serves as the General Chair for the IEEE International Microwave and RF Conference (IMaRC 2019) and holds the position of Visiting Associate at the California Institute of Technology since March 2006. Previous experience includes working as a Design Engineer at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research from November 1987 to December 1992, where involvement in the design and development of RF electronics for the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope in Pune, India took place. Goutam's academic background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, an MS from the University of Virginia, and a BE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur.
