Mike Gaunce has worked for the U.S. Government for over 30 years, the last 25 of which have been with NASA, first at the Johnson Space Center, and then at Ames. Mike has received numerous awards and commendations over his career, including the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal, a “Silver Snoopy” award, and over a dozen NASA Group Achievement Awards. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
Mike is currently supporting the management of SOFIA operations, the world’s largest airborne observatory.
