Peter Shoemaker

Peter Shoemaker has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Peter started their career as a Lifeguard 1 at the City of Del Mar, where they gained a sense of responsibility and purpose in ensuring the safety of beachgoers. Peter later joined Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company) as a Strategy Consulting Intern, specializing in commercial due diligence for health insurance, industrial vehicles, fintech/payments, and life sciences sectors. Peter also worked at UConsulting as a Consultant, helping students break into the consulting industry through education and experience. Peter then served as a Teaching Assistant and Grader at UCLA Anderson School of Management, contributing to the development of a new course in personal finance. Peter went on to work as a Research Associate at RS Investments, focusing on biotech, pharmaceuticals, genomics, and life science tools. Peter then became an angel investor and advisor before joining Nascent as a Venture Analyst. Additionally, Peter has been involved in projects related to indoor gardening and has a keen interest in various areas of biotechnology and the application of emerging technologies.

Peter Shoemaker has a B.A. in Business Economics from UCLA and a High School Diploma from Canyon Crest Academy. Additionally, they have certifications in CPR and First Aid, as well as being an SSI Open Water Diver from SSI Scuba Schools International.
