Derrick Wood

Derrick Wood is an accomplished Principal Cloud Platform Engineer at Nasdaq since June 2008, leading a team responsible for DevOps, DataOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and InfoSec, with a focus on enhancing software engineering productivity and ensuring reliable product delivery. Prior experience includes a role as Front-End Web Developer at Vesdia Corporation, where web applications were developed using C# for ASP.NET, and as a Custom Applications Developer at John Wieland Homes, creating custom web applications in ASP and ASP.NET. Derrick also served as an Adjunct Instructor at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, teaching various computer skills and programming techniques, along with experience as an IT Specialist supporting hardware and software installations across multiple campuses. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Valdosta State University.
