John Gates

John Gates has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and organizations. John is the CEO and co-founder of Nashoba Brook Bakery, a position they have held since its establishment in 1998. In 2009, they became a board member of the Global Leadership Council at the Natural Resources Defense Council. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ermont, Inc. Additionally, they were a board member of the Poverty Alleviation Fund from 2009 to 2017. John also held board member positions at the Trust for America's Health from 2012 to 2016, the Cambridge Camping Association from 2001 to 2016, and the Gaining Ground Farm from 2008 to 2012. Furthermore, they were an advisory board member for the Harvard Museum of Natural History from 2006 to 2011.

John Gates completed their Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government at Harvard University from 1984 to 1988. Later, from 1993 to 1996, they attended the University of Virginia School of Law and obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
