Liz Joyce

Liz Joyce, LICSW, serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Smith College since July 2023, teaching a graduate course on Social Work Practice with Children. With extensive experience in school counseling, Liz has been a School Counselor at Nashoba Brooks School since August 2017, providing support to students, families, and teachers, while also leading professional development initiatives. Previously, Liz was a School Counselor at Carroll School from August 2009 to July 2017, where responsibilities included individual and group counseling for students, consultation with teachers and families, and student council advisement. Early career roles included clinical internships and case management in community care, beginning with a Social Work Intern role at Carroll School in 2007 and culminating in a Case Manager position at Two Ten Footwear Foundation from 2005 to 2007. Liz holds a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut.
