Sofia Rubinstein

Associate Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency at Nassau University Medical Center

Sofia Rubinstein has over 15 years of experience at Nassau University Medical Center. Sofia currently holds multiple roles, including Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship, and Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Sofia has also served as the Associate Chairperson for Research in the Department of Medicine. Sofia began their career at Nassau University as a Nephrologist in 2005 and later became the Associate Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship. Additionally, they have served as the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency since 2010.

Sofia Rubinstein completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine from 1995 to 1999. Sofia then pursued an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY from 1999 to 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they obtained a Fellowship in Nephrology at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Additionally, from 2003 to 2005, they earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Research from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
