Shalini Dewan

Shalini Dewan has held various positions throughout their career. Shalini began their work experience at HSBC, where they worked in the Retail Banking division from 1990 to 1998. During this time, they handled major clients and worked in the Settlements Section.

After their time at HSBC, Shalini joined Capital Group of Companies, where they set up and led Planet IQ, a company focused on using educational technology to complement school education for children. Shalini also produced educational content on the Indian Independence Struggle.

Shalini then moved on to roles at HSBC Bank, where they served as Vice President in different capacities. Shalini was responsible for M&A Communications for Personal Financial Services, managing communication strategies during mergers and acquisitions. Shalini also served as Head of Corporate Communications & Recognition for Personal Financial Services, focusing on sales development and service improvement.

Following their time at HSBC Bank, Shalini joined Barclays Bank as Vice President of Corporate Communications. Shalini created and implemented internal communication and community investment strategies for the bank in India.

Shalini'snext career move took their to Accenture, where they served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications, specifically leading internal communications efforts. Shalini was responsible for driving employee engagement campaigns and utilizing interactive mediums for effective communication.

Most recently, Shalini has worked as a Marketing & Communications Consultant, specializing in brand positioning and business growth. Shalini has served as a Senior Consultant for various organizations, including nasscom, where they have held the role of Head of Communications for Deep Tech, Product, and Startups.

Overall, Shalini has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and business strategy across multiple industries and organizations.

Shalini Dewan has a diverse education history spanning multiple institutions and fields of study. In 1986, they attended Pratt Memorial School and completed their ICSE degree, focusing on subjects such as English, Hindi, Economics, History, Geography, Maths, and Sciences. Following this, from 1986 to 1989, they pursued a BA (Hons) in History at Loreto College, Calcutta University. In 1989, they enrolled in Shree Shikshayatan College, also under Calcutta University, where they obtained a B.Ed with a focus on Education, History, English, and Mental Hygiene in 1990.

Additionally, in September 2022, Shalini Dewan obtained a certification from Nasscom DeepTech Club, Core Team, indicating their involvement and expertise in this field.
