Timothy Welch

Timothy Welch is a seasoned software engineer with over two decades of experience in optimizing database communication and data movement. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Nasuni since August 2019, Timothy previously worked at SAP from 2010 to 2019 as a Development Expert, where notable contributions included leading a team to enhance communication between HANA and Sybase databases and filing a patent application for a new protocol that significantly improved data movement speed and memory usage. Prior to SAP, Timothy spent ten years at Sybase as a Staff Software Engineer, designing drivers for the Sybase ASE database and successfully reducing licensing costs through the development of a replacement OLE DB driver.
