Bernhard Zimmermann

Bernhard Zimmermann has extensive experience in the field of molecular research and diagnostics, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Natera since November 2010, where the mission focuses on enhancing the chances of couples having healthy children through innovative genetic testing technology. Prior to Natera, Bernhard held the position of Senior Technology Development Scientist at Fluidigm Corporation, contributing to significant advancements in chip capabilities and initiating a successful diagnostic project. Earlier career roles include assistant researcher at UCLA and postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of the West of England and University Women's Hospital Basel, following a PhD in Biomedical Research from the University of Basel and an MSc in Biotechnology from ETH Zürich.
