Jennifer West currently serves as the Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Virginia since July 2021. In addition to this role, Jennifer West is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Engineering, and has been a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors since 2017. Prior experience includes serving as the Associate Dean for Doctoral Education and Fitzpatrick University Professor at Duke University from July 2012 to June 2021, as well as holding the position of Cameron Professor and Chair at Rice University from 1996 to 2012. Jennifer West holds an SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and both an MS and PhD from The University of Texas at Austin.
