Ben Marcantonio

Ben Marcantonio is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in hospice and palliative care administration. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization since October 2020, Ben fosters a collaborative culture and oversees daily operations. Previously, as Chief Executive Officer at Hospice of the Chesapeake from January 2014 to September 2020, Ben was responsible for strategic direction and organizational health, collaborating closely with the executive team. Ben's earlier roles include Chief Administrative Officer and various leadership positions at San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine, focusing on operational oversight, program management, and compliance. Ben also has experience in behavioral health services and education, having served as Director of Behavioral Health Services at Scripps Health and Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of San Diego. Ben holds multiple degrees from the University of San Diego, Gregorian University, and San Diego State University, including a Masters of Education in Administrative Leadership and a Masters of Science in Counseling.
