Joelle Osterhaus, LCSW, currently serves as the NHPCO Bereavement Professionals Committee Chair at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization since September 2020. In a dual role at Kaiser Permanente since March 2015, Joelle manages Hospice & Home Based Palliative Care Psychosocial Services, overseeing various interdisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Joelle also has significant experience in bereavement coordination, having worked with individuals, families, and communities to provide counseling services at multiple organizations, including Benton Hospice Service and Iowa Hospice. Joelle's academic background includes a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Iowa.
